A simple google search of my network card will indicated that it does in fact support Wireless Display and has under every previous Windows Operating System OS environment since Windows 7. There needs to be both a WiDi supported graphics adapter and network adapter hardware configuration as well as correlating software and drivers in order for wireless display to work. The Intel Core i7 processor processes both wireless video and audio data and a compatible network card that support WiDi signal transmission transmits the signal to an exertnal WiDi signal supported receiver device.

I know exactly how the technology works. And I also know that Microsoft for whatever reason doesn't seem t want to support its use in certain systems running earlier generation Intel chipsets, which is why they have disabled it in systems running Intel 2nd Gen chipsets and the earlier wireless network adapters that first supported it.

If I'm losing the use of features an programs with it, it's no "upgrade" at all for me, so I'll just rollback the current changes to my system from this so-called Windows 10 upgrade and continue using Windows 8.

They could've simply introduced the Edge browser and Cortana into the Windows 8. There are no other significant improvements to speak of in Windows 10 other than those two.
